The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) has directed their Medicare Administrative Contractors (MACS) to temporarily hold all claims with dates of service on or after April 1^st, 2021 in anticipation of possible Congressional action to extend the suspension of the -2% Medicare sequester cut.

Last week, the Senate passed their version of a bill extending the moratorium of the -2% cut to December 31st, 2021, beyond the March 31, 2021 deadline.  The House is expected to vote on the bill the week of April 12^th, following their return from recess.
